One of my favorite keyboard short-cuts is the use of ALT-F4 to close programs and to shut down or restart windows. When you use it to restart windows, a box will appear asking what you want to do. Just use your arrow keys to select the action you wish to perform. When ever you can use the keyboard, you're probably working faster than if you were using your mouse. Try it now ALT-F4.
